Hi!

I’m Jay, a freelance journalist, critic, editor, and podcaster.

Over the past seven years I’ve appeared in a host of publications, most often writing about the internet and video games. I love communities, fan culture, and people who are clearly following their weirdest, best passions. I also write guides, reviews, news, and just about anything with a story to tell.

From 2022-2024, I worked as the publishing editor at Mojang Studios, helping them to produce all their books and magazines. I was also the dialogue editor on Deconstructeam’s The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood.

I also cohost Turnabout Breakdown, a recap/analysis/hyperfixation podcast about Ace Attorney.
